If you want to be told how to design your car, you need to be ready to have a clear picture in your head of what your vehicle will look like and understand how to put that idea to paper. I am going to give you some fast tips on how to do that and design cars that look awesome!

Build The Body : glaringly your going to be forced to start with the body of your vehicle. A cool trick that I use is to find photos of vehicles that have the parts that I need in my design, then I trace over them onto a bit of paper. Now this is the full body and you can modify it by rubbing out, resizing and adding new parts from other photographs until you get something that looks good.

It might be a bit rough at the start, but this is a good way to get a good picture down on paper if your not so great at drawing.

Deck Out the interior : When planning the interior of the car you want to try and create as much space as possible. It can be simple to shove in all sorts of mods to your car, but this may turn out terribly if you’ve got any intentions of really creating your vehicle.

Adding colours : If you’ve got any photograph modifying software like Photoshop you can scan your drawing and edit it on the PC much less complicated. The professionals basically do the entire process on the PC using drawing tablets and rendering their vehicles in 3D. But we’re not that advanced!

If you add colours using some pencils lying around the house it should be hard to make it look good, but make efforts to leave the paper white where the highlights in the metal will be.
